Firstly, I must say that all praises belong to the creator of the universe through who all understanding comes... God is Love..........
The other day I was sent a picture via the of the many wattsapp groups I am in. the video showed some young boys participating in their school's annual sports day. There was one team in yellow that stood out in the race.
Three members of the Team ran beautiful and ensured that they secured a 10 meter or so lead over the other teams. When the third leg runner handed over the baton to the anchor leg, he turns and run in the direction the rest of his team members were running from. His actions brought a laughter to the face of many who saw the footage. I however, see something else.
Counter Productive - Having the opposite of the desired effect.
See when all the members of a team focus their energy in the same direction, then their efforts become productive, however, I one member of the team fails to do his part in the efficient manner that is expected, then the teams effort will amount to nothing.
I feel that the responsibility to ensure the Team achieves its goal while not solely, rest on the shoulders of the leader on the Team. For me, whatever it takes to ensure that there is cohesiveness, Team Spirit, accountability and most of all, mutual respect. anything else, any other effort cannot not be viewed as anything else but counterproductive.
Let us ensure that we are working in the best interest of the Team and not for self because the opposite is also true, it makes no sense one person score 50 points in a losing team effort in a basket ball game.
